United States Supreme Court Denies Certiorari for Mumia Abu-Jamal

In denying certiorari for more than 2,000 cases today, the United States Supreme Court keeps Mumia Abu-Jamal from its caseload. Abu-Jamal’s death sentence was recently overturned by a federal court in Philadelphia because of a bad jury instruction, and he was seeking a new trial in his petition to the U.S. Supreme Court.
