by | Jan 16, 2008

The Philadelphia Courts recently announced the deployment of six marked vehicles for the Adult Probation and Parole Department, which will be used by the Gun Court Unit. The Gun Court Unit supervises offenders who have a gun offense as their most serious crime.

The deployment of marked parole/probation vehicles will make the department more visible to offenders and the community alike. In addition, there is hope that the increased Gun Court Unit visibility will have a positive impact on those under supervision, and reduce the number of repeat gun offenders through increased presence.
